After watching Professor Goodman's interview with Immaculata De Vivo and Peter Kraft, I found the discussion of precision medicine fascinating. I was not familiar with the extensive research that is being done to find ways to tailor medical treatments to a person based on their genetics. It would truly be a revolutionary breakthrough if scientists found a way to do this. However, I also understand that there are ethical concerns about this process because at this stage lots of trial and error is involved which could cause dangerous side effects if they are using human test subjects. I am optimistic about the future of this research.
