I listened to Jill and Alyssa's conversation on the Ignorance Project, and I found their anecdote about learning about predictions and uncertainty quite interesting. They mentioned how such knowledge makes them aware of how little humans actually know. I was surprised to hear even experts in their respective fields acknowledging the general limitations that we grapple with as humans on Earth. Jill's comment on the 21st century being the time of biological discovery stood out to me as an example of this. When studying predictions, it is common to assume that the biggest limitation is the limited human knowledge we possess when we want to know something deeply.
