This post was correlated with my project because it discusses genomes and people's genetics. My project has to do with a predictive system that predicts human height, which is highly due to genetics and heritability. So, it was interesting and helpful to learn about the Personal Genome project and how it is able to collect large data sets about individuals, for which the data can later be used in the future. The interview also discusses uncertainty, and that though usually we are poor at presenting uncertainty with medicine, uncertainty with genetics is not typically avoided. I also thought it interesting when Church talked about the environmental factors that play into genomics, which is tied to my project because there can be slight, yet noticeable, differences in human height that can be due to environmental factors and the health of an individual.
