I was pretty surprised to learn about the number of efforts to send/receive a message from extraterrestial life. The most interesting part of Jill Tarter's interview was when she discussed the post-detection protocol that has been developed in case we can make contact with alien life. Ensuring that we are making contact is the most important step, and ensuring that we can do so promptly and peacefully. I find Area 51 as an enclosure for alien life we have already encountered to be really interesting. Communication with alien life will be quite interesting, but it could be manipulated by other countries as a political ploy for power.
A question that I would ask is Professor's Tarter on Area 51 and theories that we've already encountered alien life. UFOs are also another topic - does she find some to be convincing evidence of extraterrestrial life?
