During the discussion of methods of prediction early on in the course, I became interested in the social aspect of predicitions. This was illustrated by the idea that some coffie mug predictiors do it for the social aspect, not always with an intention to make the correct prediction. Therefore, when Dan discussed the social espect of making a prediciton and the trade-off between accuracy and fun, I came up with a question that I wanted to ask him:
What do you think brings an average human more joy, making a prediction in a social environment and getting it wrong eventually or making a prediction on their own and getting it right with no social aspect?
