There was an experiment that brought people into a tent and read them tarot cards to get them to contemplate climate change. People know a lot about their own future without wanting to think about it - so perhaps reading them tarot cards would help them acknowledge the truth about their own future (especially with the associated climate messaging). Additionally, it would help them come to terms with the fact that climate change is not only part of "the" future but "their" future! It seems to be a problem with confidence intervals -- taking advantage of uncertainty and believing in potential good outcomes. I wonder how we can still show the gravity of bad predictions but be honest about uncertainty!
