In watching the interview with David Laibson, I found two things surprising. Although I learned it in an introduction to economics class, I forgot about present bias and the concept of doing what is fun and easy in the moment while putting off chores for "tomorrow." Often, the "tomorrow" task continues to get pushed off for multiple days due to this present bias. I was also surprised to learn that Laibson does not believe that society (with further development) can get to absolute predictability and he almost dismissed the notion that individuals could believe such a theory.
