This is a very insightful thought. As an economics concentrator myself I also had have not had any meaningful interaction with these sciences since high school. I remember liking the more broad and wondrous ideas that I learned about but those seemed much less frequent than having to do things like memorizing the periodic table. I think I was possibly subconsciously pushed away from these fields due to the association with these kind of classes instead of the more dynamic problem-solving classes. A class like his class on ignorance could do wonders on keeping young students interested in science.

This is a very interesting line of thinking that I did not fully consider while I was watching this video. These two fields certainly intertwine but it is interesting to think about the fact that it could be in a negative way. It is easy to see how this could be a positive but the fact that it could be the kind of "nudge" that you are eluding to to is very thought-provoking. It would also be interesting to look into whether a person receiving a notification about possible increased stress levels could lead to negative or destructive choices in the future. The link between behavioral science and mobile is much stronger than I would have thought.

The section that I expect would be most illuminating for non-quantitatively inclined readers would be the part two situations with different uncertainties. In this section it looks first at a low-uncertainty situation (Russian Roulette) then at a high uncertainty situation (Apollo 11). I think it is very important to apply these easily comprehensible examples towards two drastically levels of uncertainty because it makes it a much easier access point. Jumping straight into numbers with little context can lead to people just giving up and tuning out the rest of the information. However, using these tangible situations and very little, simple math it is much easier to get a foot in the door of this information. Once that ground layer of understanding people can feel calmer and more confident that they will be able to comprehend the rest of the information. Also, having two different examples with different levels and factors of uncertainty allows the coinciding information about COVID-19 much easier to comprehend.

This is a very thought provoking question that I have never really considered. Fields like astrophysics carry such a quantitative and research based connotation that I never considered that science-fiction type creativity could be just as important. In the end, you likely need the creativity to make conclusions about observations or data nearly as much as the math or science skills.

I am very interested in your second question about the "transition" point between a likely simpler classical model and a more complex behavioral model. This would have been very interesting to hear him speak about because there are surely situations where the classical model is as good or better at prediction and is much easier to understand the inputs and outputs. The idea of said transition point is very interesting to think about and I would love to hear about any kind of research that makes any kinds of claims about it.

This is a very good point and one that I didn't give enough thought while watching the videos. I think you are very correct in saying that education of what is and isn't AI to the general public is paramount in order for our society to continue to incorporate and benefit from it. It seems to me that AI has become a sort of umbrella term to the general public for anything that has to do with technology or science that someone does not understand. And, like you said, this is almost certainly where all of the fear of AI in the public stems from.

This is a great line of questioning and is one that I was struggling to articulate in my post. I think the only way that we are going to be able to combat climate change is to make it relevant to everyone's lives. If a doctor tells someone to take a medicine, that person likely will because the effects of it are very personal. However, if a climate expert tells people that we are in desperate need of change in order to save the earth, some people are hesitant because this problem is not as personal or tangible. I believe this is one of the biggest hurdles we need to overcome in the battle against climate change.
