After reading the article, I took interest in understanding the flaws of a software like GPT-4 and how countries would take to avoiding its consequences. This led to me discovering that Italy had recently banned Chat-GPT, a strict and never-before-seen approach to the dangers of GPT. I personally believe that GPT poses dangers such as not offering confidence intervals on its results and "hallucinating", as stated in the fifth article. Banning GPT prevents these dangers and allows for Italian jobs to be preserved against AI. I, however, believe that GPT will make Italy uncompetitive in the international market.
This is because if other industries in comparable countries like France and Germany are revolutionizing their work using AI, Italian companies will slow in productivity, and even given the ethical concerns Italy raises (for example the "lack of transparency is the real problem" claimed by Johanna Björklund), in the hypercompetitive market it will be impossible for Italy to come close to matching other companies.
