I was all really interested in learning about the International Atomic Energy Agency. I too really hope that this agency can be successful. The fact that the agency's wikipedia page doesn't include too many draw backs however as you say, there is no telling how the IAEA will hold up in the long term.

These articles really helped me to better understand the shortcomings of AI systems like that of Chat GPT. Before I was under the impression that the quality and capability of these AI systems' outputs was far greater than it actually is. This article by Paul Krugman illustrate how the change that may be brought about by Chat GPT and AI systems of similar function will be far slower than some may anticipate. I found this revelation to be extremely comforting. While I am of course a supporter of technological advancement, the repercussions of the continuously growing use of Chat GPT is concerning to me. I don't want to live in a world in which people do not think freely for themselves due to the fact that they instead choose to rely on AI to do their thinking for them. Loved your post Mally as I listened to the same interview and really enjoyed it. I was also very intrigued by the question that you posed regarding the limitation of carbon emissions on companies. It seems like somewhat of a moving target as regulations and public sentiment are constantly evolving as time goes on. I'm interested also in whether or not companies themselves should have better systems in place to offset their own CO2 emissions or if companies like "Climeworks" doing that work for them is taking some of the responsibility off of these big companies.
